Dr O'Callaghan Cup 2012
Midleton CBS retained the Dr. O'Callaghan Cup for Senior 'A' Cork Colleges Hurling when they overcame Patrician Acadamy, Mallow at the end of November. On the night, Midleton had to change jerseys due to similiarity with their opponents - thus the reason why they wear the alternative Cork inter-county strip.
It was a nostalgic night in particular for the Quirke family from Midleton as Colman was on hand to see son Darren lift the trophy having himself captained CBS to the Callaghan in 1987 - 25 years previous. Grandfather Mossy was also in attendance, captaining an U-17 CBS winning team in 1962 - 50 years previous !.
Panel: Darren Quirke, Padraig Nagle, Alan Stanton, Shenidh Smith, Gavin Bagnell, Conán Finnegan, Brian Rossiter (all Midleton). Brendan McCarthy, Brian Cashman, Eoin O'Mahony, Ciarán Gosnell, Dylan Scriven (all Carrigtwohill) James McCarthy, Bill Ahern, Shane Hegarty, Niall Motherway, Liam Martin, James Lawton (all Kiltha Óg) Joe Millerick, Padraig McMahon, Adrian Keneally, Mark O'Keeffe, Billy Dunne (all Fr O'Neills), David Cahill, Eoghan Keniry, Shane McCarthy, Dan Landers (all Killeagh), Jake O'Donoghue, Aaron Stafford, Cein Looney (all Aghada), Stephen Beausang (Cloyne), Jack McGrath, Kieran Walsh (Russell Rvs).
