Midleton CBS has been very much to the fore of the promotion and participation of Gaelic Games, with a particular emphasis on Hurling. The school participates in competition organised by Munster and Cork colleges throught the school year, also taking part in the RICE CUP competition for U-14 Hurling which is run by the Christian Brothers.
1988 was the yr in which we made the breakthrough when winning the legendary "Harty Cup" for Munster Senior Colleges 'A' hurling. Luckily, similiar titles occured in '95 and '06 but an All-Ireland title has still eluded us. We await !
